Our Mission

The safety and well-being of older loved ones is of vital concern within today’s society. We all want to protect them as much as possible but, at the same time, we are often managing our own families & livelihoods. This can be a struggle.

We’re on a mission to give those living with dementia and their caregivers & stronger support and confidence in the future through state of the art technology. Remaining at home and living independently is the desire of nearly every person facing the challenges of Alzheimer's & Dementia. However it can be very worrying for family and friends who may have the best intentions of caring for their loved ones but may not have the time to provide the care they need and deserve. How can you prevent falls at home? How can you keep your vulnerable relatives safe?

With today’s nursing home costs continuing to increase, we’re is striving to make it easier to provide families peace of mind in helping their vulnerable loved one’s age independently.

Changing Perceptions Of The Vulnerable Through Innovative Technology

Today, people are living longer and remaining in their homes, without much to prolong their well-being. A study by Public Health England in 2016 noted that men can now expect to live for an additional 19 years at age 65 and 12 years at 75. Women can expect to live for an additional 21 years at age 65 and 13 years at 75.

For caregivers, one of the biggest concerns is the possibility of an accident. Lethal health problems can arise if no one is present in the event of a fall. For seniors, we understand it’s important that they can contact family or emergency services in the event of an medical emergency. We believe enabling people with dementia to remain in the familiar surroundings of their homes for as long as possible is a deeply worthwhile cause and in our mission to keep older relatives safer at home and on-the-go, we designed the CPR Guardian.

The CPR Guardian II

The CPR Guardian a lightweight device that can be worn on the wrist and detects when the wristband alarm button is pressed, alerting the caregiver. Our innovative approach to modern technology and care led us to design a discrete smartwatch to keep the wearer safe, independent and active at all times with a built-in emergency assist button, a heart rate monitor, mobile phone and GPS locating. Built for everyday living, the Guardian II is fitted with a durable gorilla glass screen, a soft hypoallergenic strap and is also IP67 waterproof.

Understanding the barriers modern technology can create for older people, the CPR Guardian has specifically been designed with ease of use in mind, meaning it’s very simple for anyone to setup & use. Keeping in touch is made easy with phone calls, voice messages and an SOS button in case of an emergency.

The Guardian II is ideal as a discrete panic alarm or fall alarm for elderly relatives and In the event of an emergency, the watch will be able to alert contacts when the SOS button is held down. It also updates the wearer’s location through the CPR Guardian smartphone app, available on iOS and Android. The Guardian II constantly monitors the wearer’s heart rate and alerts you if your loved one’s heart rate drops below 30 beats per minute.

A Better Tomorrow

People who have dementia and live alone are at greater risk of social isolation and loneliness. Research, conducted by the Alzheimer’s Society, has found that 62% of people with dementia who live alone feel lonely compared to 38% of all people with dementia.

Think back to when you were a child. Wouldn’t your parents have done everything in their power to keep you safe, regardless how much you objected? As difficult as it is to accept that the roles have been reversed, we all have social responsibility to ensure our vulnerable loved ones are always safe and secure.  You can find out more about the CPR Guardian II here.
